What is held, what leaves, and what is simply never collected

Nothing on these pages measures readers. No script counts them, none profiles them, and none reports them anywhere.

Part one: letters

The only form here is the letter on the contact page. It carries four things: a name, an email address, the subject chosen from the list, and the message.

Letters are held for fifteen months after the reply, because a correspondence about a block often resumes a year later when the block changes, and then they are removed.

A visit itself leaves no record here. There is no account to create and no password to store. Payment details, postal addresses, locations and advertising identifiers are absent because nothing on the site has a use for them, and a telephone number exists only if a reader chooses to type one into a letter.

Part two: the look up

The look up on the front page is our own markup, so nothing third party runs while you type. The suggestions come from a file that ships inside this site.

When a trip is sent, exactly one line leaves: the two codes, the dates, the cabin letter and the number of travellers. It goes to the booking host on our own subdomain, and it is visible in the address bar before anything is pressed.

• This field book receives nothing back from that. No search history, no passenger details, no booking details.
• The host operates under its own privacy policy inside its own pages, which is where it should be read.
• If a booking follows, the host reports that a booking happened. That report says nothing about who made it.
• Never open the front page and no trip is ever sent. Nothing about the look up runs on any other page.

Part three: your browser

One storage line, `ks_slip_2026`, holding one short word, whose only job is to keep the notice strip from reappearing on the next page. Clearing browser storage removes it.

This site sets no cookie of any kind. There is no advertising, no personalisation and no measurement here, which is why the notice strip offers a real choice and then behaves identically either way: there is nothing behind the switch to turn off.

Your rights

A reader may see the file, have it put right, or have it deleted. One line to archive@keystyletravels.com, sent from the address the original letter came from, is the whole procedure.

Replies go out inside 30 days and usually the same week, because the amount of material to look through is small. No charge, no form.

Legal basis, named for readers who need it

Letters are handled because answering correspondence sent to a publication is a legitimate interest, and held afterwards for the same reason. Nothing here is processed for marketing. There is no mailing list and no newsletter, and none is planned.

Children

The subject here is municipal land use, which has never attracted a young audience. No material is aimed at children and nothing is knowingly gathered about a reader under sixteen.

Security, stated plainly

The site is served over HTTPS. Letters travel encrypted and land in an inbox that only the desk opens.

Nobody sensible calls an inbox impenetrable. What can be said is that the material worth stealing is absent: there are no passwords here, no payment details and no identity documents.

Changes

Any revision moves the date above, and anything of substance is written out here in its own sentence so that a returning reader can see what moved. So far nothing has: this is the first version published.
